Can betting be regarded as a business or investment. I have seen people who are addicted to betting, they lose some while they win some just like doing business and investment. So can we say betting is an investment

Betting can never be regarded as an Investment because it is a pure risk and Investments are what you believe , can provide you profit.
According to me , it is just a business where there is possibility of both profit and losses 50% = 50%

And once you lose you won't be able to get it back unless you're willing to bet again with the risk of losing that too. If you're the one that owns the betting company/place then sure it's a business and a very lucrative one
