Blog Software Out There? Good Alternative To WordPress?

WordPress is clearly the leader of the open source blogging software market. There are some competitors such as Type that offer hosted services. Others such as ghost do both. Ghost, nevertheless, lacks an active community for its open source market and appears to prefer paid users. Ghost is also harder to install for beginners.

Blogger and Tumblr are unique, but are also hosted services. Clearly, WordPress doesn't have a huge competitor out there (yet). But have you guys come across any free and open source software that is capable of being a blog and a CMS?

Not sure why you wouldn't want to use WordPress!

I mean you could always use Drupal or Joomla. It'd be more work and setup than just using the obviously better WordPress, but I'm biased..

I've heard Drupal & Joomla are decent in what they do though I have to agree with @mop8899, why change Wordpress when it works so well?
