Best day to open Forum/Website to public

What in your opinion is the best day to open or launch your forum or website during the week? Is it a Monday, or is it a Saturday? Why do you think that specific day?

If you know a certain forum is opening on that day, do you wait til the next week so you can open on the day you want, or do you just not care? I know this was a previous thing that was popular when people were both going to open around the same time and people would try to scaffold opening that way they would both have equal amount of attention, especially if it was a similar topic.

I'm not sure this is actually a thing any more. There was definitely a time it made a difference, based on the niche you were in. Business-niche related during the week, especially earlier in the week to catch people at work who might be looking for your site for work-related information, general forums on a Friday for the weekend traffic.

But given the eating away of the forum world by social media and other competitive interests, I don't think it matters now - because there's 24/7 other content to compete with.

You know what, I have never thought about this until now and when I reason on it very well, it would seem that weekends would be the best bet time to open or launch a new forum.

It should serve as a good timing since it's when people are out from work, so they are bound to have more spare time to be on forums.

It *really* depends. Several of the forums I'm on have noticeably *lower* traffic at weekends than they do during the week.

From what I've seen over the past few months, Sunday seems to be the better day on forums lately. It's definitely our most active day, proven many times before.

You'd think and expect a Friday to be the most "active" day, but it's not.
