Are you addicted to social media?

Before I stay on social media for most of the days without doing anything. But, recently the urge to make money online has shifted my attention from social media. I only go there today when I am free to check latest thing happening.

Actually been addicted to social media is a choice and it depends on the benefit you derived. Personally I am not good at social media because to some extent it seems as a waste of time and data.
There is nothing wrong with spending time on social media , it can sometimes relieve stress as you can read jokes and other things that interest you. We shouldn't be addicted to social media , That is what really matters.

Back in college, yes. But now that I already have a job and side hustle, I only use ig and twitter at times but with a few followers only whom I really know personally. I hate when people who I barely know have a lot to say about my life that’s why it’s a no-no to so much social media now.

Few years back I used to enjoy spending time at different social media sites like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and so on. To the point that I'm always at my phone interacting with some friends and even to strangers. But lately I've been losing interest.
Actually I was addicted to social media but now I am not addicted to it because I realized that there is no benefits using social media instead I learn a new skill.

Yes, I used to be occasionally until I learned about paying forums. At that point, I stopped and developed an addiction to paying platforms.

i am so addicted to Facebook and it is really reducing my productivity, so what i decided in doing is to find a way to start earning on facebook and not the mindless browsing i normally do.

Back when MySpace was still around and Facebook was new I remember becoming quite addicted to social media I would spend a lot of hours on say Facebook scrolling and also playing games when they were the huge rage on Facebook. I eventually realized how much time I was wasting scrolling and ended up pulling myself away from social media to an extent so that I wasn't as addicted. I now still go on social media but I limit myself per day as to how long I am on them.

Well, few years ago I admit I spent too much time on social media, especially on holidays. I can spend 7 to 8 hours a day, but now it's much better.

I was addicted. When my relationship with others offline started to deteriorate, I had to force myself to ignore it.
Thankfully I got interested inside husltes and business at the same time, so that helped shift my focus.

But for a while, I had to delete my Facebook app. Now I only deal with FB and WhatsApp.
Thank God you discovered on time and quickly make an amend, one thing about social media is that you just have to prioritize you time and schedule your activity, that is one way to aviod muddling things up.

I have to confess that I am also addicted to social media. I have just realized that I have wasted a huge part of my time watching worthless stuff.

I believe I really like social media since it is an easy way to kill time and entertain myself at the same time. However, to say that I am addicted is a strong word because if I have to, I can stay for a long time without any social media, so I wouldn't say that I have an addiction more or less, more like a habit.

It is good that you have such self control. I have been watching reels after reels and I really did not how to get over it. I have developed a hobby of making something useful out of waste now and slowly coming out of this addiction.

I spend 3-4 hours every day on social media. I have accounts on multiple platforms but I am active on a handful of sites. I do not use social media continuously for 3-4 hours, I use it in multiple sessions and each session would be something like 20-30 minutes. I do not consider myself addicted to social media as I do not use it just to consume content, I use it to share content and I benefit a lot by sharing content.

I would say that I used to be very much addicted to using social media platforms for silly personal reasons years ago. But with time, I found a business purpose to make use of those social media platforms for something better that makes money for me. So, my addiction to social media platforms now is for business purposes.

I was dependent. At the point when my relationship with others disconnected began to fall apart, I needed to compel myself to overlook it. Fortunately, I got intrigued by side hustle and business simultaneously, which aided in shifting my concentration.

I don't think I'm addicted as much as I used to be. I still frequent Facebook, Instagram, tiktok and YouTube, but that's mostly it. I don't frequent social media sites like I used to. Last time I tweeted on Twitter, now X, was probably a year or more ago. I don't even check my twitter half the time anymore.

Don't feel like that mate. I'm very sure that at the time when you were making use of them, the contents you were watching made you happy one way or another. It's the only thing that matters as far as I'm concerned. It's all part of life, now if you want to use any of them, you will put them to good use.

I'm not addicted to using social media. If I'm using any social media platforms, it's for something very important and would be business. It's WhatsApp I use for chatting. If I'm on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or TikTok, it's for business reasons. I don't have any addiction for them.

I haven't even cared to update my Twitter to start being the X platform it is now. Unless they force me to update the application before I would be able to use it, I will keep using it as Twitter and not X.

No, none of that, I am far from being addicted to social networks, mostly because I do not use them more than half an hour a day, there are even days that I do not use them in the whole day, I just look at WhatsApp and little else, social networks have become a kind of triggers for dopamine and other substances that the body gives off in the form of a reward when you receive likes, followers or positive comments, I dont want to get involved in that madness.
