I want to give the option to you to be able to request the deletion of your account. There may be certain circumstances where you no longer wish to be a community member. In the past, online communities have refused to delete accounts. This is not the case in this community. You may request your account deleted at any time.
To get your account deleted:
Send me @Shawn Gossman a Private Message asking to be deleted. You don't need to give a reason, and I won't ask why. That's your business. Once I get the request (the next time I log on), I'll proceed with account deletion.
What gets deleted and what doesn't:
I will delete your account. That means your username and account information will be removed. I will NOT delete your posts. That will be listed under a randomly generated and generic username that is not associated with you or your information.
Can you re-register in the future?
Yes - however, your new account will not be merged with your old content. If you request to remove your account, you will permanently lose that account and its content.
Abuse of the system:
Requesting removal more than once may be detected as abuse of the system. This can result in a permanent ban with no ability to appeal. Please do not abuse this system.
Should I reconsider?
If you want to be deleted because of drama, why not use the IGNORE feature first? Or take a break. Please don't add to the drama. Think about your future in this community and consider all your options.
