How do you make money from your forum/blog?

Most webmasters set off into the venture to make money from their websites. It's always time consuming to run a website which is why trying to make money from it is understandable.

How do you usually make money from your website?

I run AdSense ads on my forums and blogs. My earnings on my forums are very negligible, however, I earn moderately from my blogs. I also use affiliate ads but my earnings from affiliate ads are not much. I also sell digital products and services through my blogs and forums.

Have you tried making use of Infolinks to add to what Adsense makes for you? I heard that it's a very good compliment to using Adsense and it's not going to have you adjusting your website for it.

It's not easy to make money from forums but it's also not rocket science either, as a forum owner you need a lot of patience and determination and you must also be willing to spend money on promoting your forum to guarantee it's growth over time.

As with AdminJunkies, I'm currently promoting it on similar forums and websites both free and paid advertisements. I'm spending more than having an income and it's always a risk if it will pay back in the end. However, it's not meant to pay back this year. Slowly but surely we'll build up content and leads and see what the future brings. I'm definitely putting paid advertisements on the forum with time but I don't want anything looking bad for our members.

I just place my services banner to my forums and blog and divert traffics to my services page. So some interested people buy our services and we make some money. We add guest posting after charge some dollar to our blogs. So these are our ways to make money.

Because we are providing services and so, i dont believe in adsense because adsense will show ads of my competitors and its not good for us.

Making money from forum has never been an easy thing to accomplish, I have tried creating my own forum but generating trafgic is always not easy for me , and without the traffic , there's no way you can make money from the forum .

If you are posting good contents on your blog I believe you can stand a good chance of earning money from it, but sometimes even if you post good contents you won't have visitors in your blog I think that's because you don't know what the audience want.

At the beginning you expenditure could be higher than you profit but as you progress you device a strategy that would bring in more profit to , it's best for your forum to be self sufficient in that way only the income generated from forum activities would be used to invest in the forum.

Posting good content to make people comes into the blog is one thing and luring people by using a mouth watering and an eye catching topic for the news which will bring more online members .

In my experience, spending money advertising your forum or blog is a waste of money. If you have a forum, offer incentives to the posters, you will have traffic and content. Also, spend money on SEO.

My blogs and forums are monetized using AdSense advertisements. I make very little money from my forums, but I do make some money from my blogs. Although I too use affiliate advertisements, I don't make much money from them. Through my blogs and forums, I also market and sell digital goods and services.

I think you have a good chance of making money from your blog if you consistently post quality content, but sometimes even when you do, you might not get many visitors because you don't understand what your audience wants.
