I think I could be a teacher in some fields, but I don't know if I could put up with it. Especially since I know how I was with my own teachers. I was a hellion and so were many others. I can't see myself going through the same. No thanks! But could you handle being a teacher for a living?

Yes I would work as a teacher, as a matter of fact in the future I see myself being a lecturer I don't know how that's going to be but I have that feeling because I realized one of the things I enjoy doing besides designing is teaching.

When I left school and I went to college, I studied childcare and education but due to health issues that arose throughout my life it was never something I continued, instead, I took the path I have now which is freelancing.

I would have loved to be able to work in a childcare setting but I do not think I would have been able to be a teacher. A teaching assistant possibly though which is equally rewarding.

The subject you studied in school should have qualified you to work as a teacher but aside from this if yoi have any challenges in health then chose to go into freelancing then there is no issue,I myself teach and that is what I do before I go into freelancing

Well, I am not a specialist in any kind of subject like physics, biology, science, mathematics, etc. However, if I tend to master several ways to make money online such as website building, affiliate marketing, etc, then i may consider opening my own school or writing a book about it.

I'm sorry but I wouldn't be interested working as a teacher for the following reasons;

1. Teachers are not paid well.
2. They talk too much every day.
3. They don't get high recognition.
4. Most of them retire poor.

I won't suffer working for years to have nothing to show for it.

I am not sure if they retire poor or not. However, many professors in my country tend to receive a huge amount of salary. Perhaps they are being paid much better salaries as compared to other teachers. A professor is a high-ranking person. The case of a teacher might be different, though.

Yes, I like to teach anything that I'm good at, but I find it hard to teach those who are not disciplined or not interested in what I teach. I believe teaching is a noble profession.

Not everyone can reach the level of professorship in the academic field. It's a good paying position. When I was in the university, my department only had about 3 professors while the rest are just ordinary lecturers.

There was a government program in my country called N-Power. They are set up to get lots of graduates into the teaching profession since most of them are no longer interested in being a teacher. They just cut down job creation and boost the N-Power programme. I took part in the programme for 2 years before leaving it.

Such kind of programs are also created in our country as well. They are created in order to facilitate the teachers. These programs are basically created in order to train many teachers and make sure that they receive the right kind of training before they could officially start their jobs.

Plus in today's age, teachers are more underpaid.

You see this right here is one of the main reason why I don't regard teaching jobs for any reason whatsoever. A teacher will suffer for months but only to get a peanut in terms of pay.

It's why we are seeing a big decline in the number of teachers today. No one wants to work on a job that doesn't pay them well.

I have worked as a teacher for more than 6 years. Though, it is stressful especially handling different students with different home backgrounds and the pay is not that encouraging, it will be interesting if you do it out of passion.

If whatever job I have passion in doesn't pay me well enough, I won't keep such passion up for a long time. Your expenses and responsibilities doesn't look at your passion when they are lining up for you to pay for them.

I have equally been there but it was just for a short time of two years and I know there's nothing in this world that's ever going to take me back to the teaching profession unless I become a professor tomorrow and go back into it in a very big level. If it's the foot teacher like I did years ago, I'm not interested.

I can deduce from your argument that you are badly treated as a teacher. That's who it is everywhere. But to be frank, I will still love to teach. I have passion for it. I just wish the society starts seeing the good side to the teaching professions..

I have worked as a language instructor for a short time, may be 4-5 weeks. That's the only experience I have as a teacher. I have not intentionally tried to get teaching jobs or applied to become a teacher. However, I know there is a lot of money in teaching, especially online teaching, therefore, I might try some day.

Not really, I was not treated bad by the school administration but the only thing that I had a very serious problem with was being paid when I was supposed to because we were owed for about four or five months before our salaries were paid. It was you very difficult situation that I found myself in at the time. They won't get paid well and they will still be owed.

Well, there are many teachers out there who started to work as teachers because they were interested in this profession. I am not sure why many people think that many teachers are underpaid. This could certainly be the case most of the time. However, I think that experienced teachers tend to get paid a lot more.
