Would you ever consider merging your forum with another?

There had been many times when I had Chat Addicts that people would message me on my forum and ask if I was interested in merging my forum with their forum. I often looked at the bigger picture and whether it would benefit me to merge or not. Many times it seemed that people just wanted to merge because I had quite a bit of activity and they wanted that without the work. I often declined the offer to merge and kept my forum as it was as I had put a lot of work into my forum.

Would you ever consider merging your forum with another and if you would, what would be your considerations before doing so? Is there anything that would make you not want to merge.

Not really, and people have actually confronted me multiple times about merging boards together. I don't like the thought for a few reasons, being I have trust issues and would think I would be booted out of the merged board or they'd take advantage of my work. Another reason is I like running a forum solo with little to no staff involved so I can put full attention to everything involved and not worry about any wrongdoings I'd disagree with a staff making that they've already made.
