Hey y'all here's a hypothetical for you all which is honestly quite interesting to me.?
There is no doubt that
Would you consider merging with a competitor.?

There is no doubt that post the coronavirus pandemic there will be both financial and logistical challenges for businesses. We will all need to cut costs possibly leading to job losses, in the hope that we can consolidate and hopefully grow again in the future. One option maybe controversial is the possibility of merging with a competitor is this something you would consider?

Yes If I see the business is falling apart and the competitor is willing to be sincere with our agreement

I do not see any problem in merging with competitors. In fact when two or more businesses merge, the new business will be even bigger and have more sales, therefore, you will become more successful. However, the decision to merge with other business should be based on proper swap ration (in terms of capital)

When two big businesses merge with each other, it forms a monopoly. It might be a good thing from a businessman's perspective. However, things could be quite different for customers and consumers in the end. Price fixing becomes a very common thing in that scenario.

There are so many things for me to consider before deciding to merge with a competitor.

1. Who's more dominant in our competition?
2. What are my benefits?
3. Terms of dissolution of the merger?

If the responses to those are not in by favour, I will not agree to any merger with a competitive brand.
