While I am still relatively new here, I find that the staff and the community in general are very nice. That speak volumes in my books 
Whilst I am biased as an Admin When I was first a member here (I wasn't always an Admin!) I thought the community was just friendly and didn't shove what they knew down your throats which is what I feel a lot of other sites do. In effect it is a 'noob-friendly' site which appealed to me! Nice to get people on your level and not on their high horse.
