I have never used Getty images. I use Pixabay most of the time. The images on Pixabay come with free commercial license. The only problem I have with Pixabay is that the images are widely used and it is difficult to find unique images. I also sometimes use Pixels, Pixes also has a good collection of free images.

These are the steps firstly,Pixabay. Currently, Pixabay is the first website I visit when I need a free stock photo. Unsplash. StockSnap. Flickr. Pexels. Death to the Stock Photo. Snapwire Snaps.

Seriously, that's the challenge most people using Pixabay faces with same images being repeated over and over again because it's all free, making it possible for all to use it. The only way to get unique images is if you go for paid images which another person can still pay for.

Checking for quality image as a graphic designer sometime could be a big deal. It simply depends on the keyword you're using to search for HD (High Definition) type. Keyword really matters alot while searching for image to use for any project. As an example I do include HD or 4k quality as a suffix to the name of the background or image I will be searching for. So in essence good keyword can make succeed finding a better image of your choice.

The problem is that there some other graphic designers who are using such strategies as well in getting images they use for their design work. So, it makes such images being used more than once and very common. If it's possible to design or snap your own images, it's the best.
