Did running a forum give you an unexpected side benefit?

For me, it was forcing myself to become hyper organized. I would collect ideas in one spot, I would notate daily changes or work that I did in a log, and I would organize related items together in folders and sub folders.

I was earning from my blogs and by creating forums I though I would make additional income. Sadly, earning from forums is really difficult. After toying with multiple forums for more than 4 years, I have learned so many things and have benefit a lot of things. One major benefit is you have a community that is under your control. You can use your community as your audience, customers, or clients

In all honesty, forums helped me develop my interest in writing.

I've went through 8 years of two graduate degrees and hated writing even through them. But forums were subjects that I was very interested in, and they didn't require APA formatting and citation, LOL.

Forums require a lot of writing if you really want your content to shine. It got me deeper into writing.

Nowadays, I am addicted to writing. I write every single day. I'm better at writing, too.
