What websites do you buy advertising from?

So, I have just emailed to phpBB.com for an advertisement campaign, so I'm a bit curious where our members put up paid advertisements and what their experience was.

What advertisement campaigns have you done and what were the results?

I don't advertise my site, instead, I use paid posters and commentators. This will not only help me build content but also have activities on my sites

Don't think I've ever paid for advertisements, especially considering I've administered free forums only. I did try setting up Google AdWords for my board once, but I had complications and decided not to spend the money.

Currently, we don't buy advertising from any websites. If we do decide to go this route in the future, we'll probably try Facebook first and see how that goes before expanding to other sites and advertisement spaces.

Wow I didn't know phpBB offered advertisements, I thought they were a nonprofit organization or something. Did you ever hear back?

Using forum advertisement is something my partner have used once in a while. He used Bizdustry and Forum Coin to advertise and promote when he needed more visibility. It actually worked well at the time.
