What Social Media Strategies Have Worked for You?

What strategies / methods are currently working for you when it comes to building and getting traffic on Social Media sites?

I'm currently building my Google+ page for Click. Read. Share. by sharing funny gifs, and following people that interact with my competitor's pages. I've gone from 0 circles to 93 in like 3-4 days, which isn't a lot, but it's something.

I've only ever got Facebook to steadily work well xD

For me, social bookmarks has worked more than Facebook and Twitter. Social bookmarks like Digg, Stumbleupon, Reddit are some which provide good SEO benefits for websites.

Posting content everyday that people want to share is a good way to gain followers. I also held a giveaway which would take place once my Facebook page hit 150 likes. That got me to 150 and now 200 pretty quickly.

I think best strategy will be to use Reddit and Facebook to get traffic. These two sites have given me traffic before and I rate these two sites very highly.
