User Engagement What methods have you found effective to increase engagement on your forum?

One of the things that most community leaders find difficult is keeping the engagement coming on a forum, sometimes you can feel as though no matter what you try, it never seems to stick and you end up back at square one trying to think of ways to up the engagement.

Something I found helped was creating topics that were open questions, these I found encouraged members to respond, especially if they were open questions that were related to something that interested them.

What methods have you found have worked for you to increase engagement on your forum?

Creating topics on the trending niches really help to build engagements. For instance, you can just pick up something from recent events and create a topic around it. Your users will find the topic relatable or will at least have something to say about it.
