I think a business owner is the one who owns a particular business ,but a self employed person is the person that have a field that he is doing to earn an income for himself

The slef employed person is basically a sole man running his business and the decision and implimentation for growth are done by him alone.
While a business owner has an employees under him,he might be involve directly or indirectly in the running of the firm.

A self employed person is someone who makes and earns a living from his own personal establishment while a business owner is one who established a business or owns an establishment. a business business owner is most likely to work outside his business and earns elsewhere
I guess I would go with your explanation the most. A self employed person mostly owns his own business while a business owner has his own business too but may still be someone's employee in another business.

Both terms are interwoven. A business owner is also regarded as self employed because such a person is working for him or herself.

Is there any difference between business owner and self employed?
A business owner is an individual who is self employed in his own business and needs no one to dictate for him or her. There is no difference between the two.

The all work on the same path the all deals with establishment of business managing and control by individual, self employed means estalish owner business while business owner is who is in charge of a business sector.

Someone that is self employed is also a business owner in the sense that he is the person that instituted the business and takes full responsibility of the business
