What former free message board services did you use?

I used at one point, conforums and sudden launch, and other message board services. Although I forgot which one they were now.

I have used MyBB, PhpBB, and SMF. However, I did not use these forum scripts for too long to gain enough experience. Since my forums failed to attract members, I shut them down.

I have also use some of those free message board services, phpbb is the one I love most, however I have also used smf and I loved it's simplicity but I prefer phpbb.

I don't think we have access to a free message board over here in my country we pay for anything we do and that's has been part of our everyday living and that's the reason why most of us don't sleep at night I guess.

I have never used a free message board service before. I don't even know much about a free message board. I would really appreciate it if someone can enlighten me more on it.
