I would like to get a good graphics tablet. I've come across some inexpensive products that compete with Wacom but are dirt cheap (as in <$100). Some of them got really good reviews as well, and the demonstrations I saw of them on Youtube showed that they were very responsive.

The Wacom screens are nice, but they cost an arm and a leg, and I wouldn't want to keep buying a new one every couple of years as the technology advances. I think their drawing monitors are in the $3,500+ range these days.

I've been using mouse and touchpad for sometime now and I get the job done using either of the two.

However, sometimes I do feel if I've something like the tablet I would do better. I get this feeling when I look at some works, and I see that they couldn't have pulled it off with just a mouse.

Anyways, it's just a matter of time. I'm definite that when I've some money to spare, I would get a nice graphics tablet.

It's hard to me make accurate traces just using a mouse, and while a tablet and pen are a best option, I don't have the money to buy a quality drawing set.

So that, I use rudimentary paper notepad and a pencil to design, then I use my scanner and simply make the final retouching with my preferred graphics editor.

I'm old school and mostly use a mouse or touchpad depending on the job. Its takes more time and a steady hand but it really comes down to what you're designing.

Currently I use a mouse but I really want to get a tablet. I feel like they would make graphic designing so much easier!

I use both mouse and tablet. At the end of the day, it depends on what I'm designing. For web design and layouts, I find that the mouse is sufficient.

However, if I'm doing illustrations, the tablet is definitely the way to go.

I use my mouse, it seems to work fine. But my mouse can sometimes sucks so it can suck a bit sometimes. I may try out other things as well

I prefer to use my mouse.

I currently have a laptop and a PC. When I have to design something, I normally use my PC and I use mouse.
