Unemployment is a major issue around the world. Even when people have skill and knowledge acquired through education and training, they might still not find a job. What do you do if you are in this situation? Well, you can use your knowledge and skills to become self-employed. By the way, if you have a formal education, it shouldn’t be difficult to find a job. Well, you might not find the best job but you sure get decent opportunities to earn. Education is an investment that will eventually pay off.

Being self employed isnt always the easiest route to go down though. You're constantly competing against other self employed people as well as actual businesses and in whatever field you choose, you have to sell to the customer that you can do the job better than the rest.

A lot of people don't get this. I have a friend, and I have warned him about how hard online stuff is. I have told him, subliminally, that the best idea is to leave where he lives, somewhere with no job opportunities.

self employed or not, you are actually always competing with other people. There is a huge competition in the job market. There are too many job seekers but fewer jobs. Interestingly, I also hear from job providers that they do not find enough people required for the jobs in their company. I think it is really difficult to get jobs these days with the traditional education

Well yeah, you're always competing but the OP was saying that if you can't find an actual job, just go self employed as if it's that easy, lol.
