There are various ways that lead to development of business. The first of it is the plan of the business owner, the mission as well, business that doesn't have good mission will surely collapse.

Development skills of the business owner how the business owner intend to develop is business.

Awareness skills how to make people aware of the product you are selling, how you advertise it to people.

I'm sure there thousands of other skills that could be mentioned, required for a business owner to have. I think everyone of them is important, be able to think outside the box, manage every situation as they come and just take it slow.
 
Every business has its own key skills one must have to succeed in that business, but must of the business has a general key skills, you must have a good communication skill, man power is another important skill that is needed, written skill etc..
 
It is very good that you have opted to start tour business. Basically a business man should have strong understanding of taxes, basic accounting, debt, economics with the law of demand and supply. You should know how to study and understand the customer very well, have strong entrepreneurial spirit and ability to brand and separate yourself.
You should also have good negotiating skills to be able to win clients over.
 
Starting a business can be challenging, developing the business is based on organizational kills, record keeping, auditing records, keeping Tracks on sales and training staffs on new technologies and latest development in the business field.
 
For proper business management the key skills required are perfect goal definition skills, problem solving skills, good and practical marketing strategy, and proper and good customer relation services
 
These skills that leads to excellence are communication skill, the skill to define and explain the present and future of the business. Also, the skills necessary are to be able design products and packages that would be attractive and profitable.
 
There are several skills one need to process in order to Foster his business prosperity. Any business owner should have money management skills, ability to identify opportunities when he or she sees one. Business owners should also have the skill of running the business smoothly in order to maximize a profit.
 
It would be hard to achieve success in the world of business growth without good communication skills. Business developers need to be able to write and speak confidently and plainly, as well as listen to potential customers' answers and concerns.

You're absolutely right, small businesses need to undergo trainings, in addition to the one you wrote they still need these skills; financial management, time management, problem solving, negotiation, leadership, communication and customer service skills.
 
To succeed in this field, you are going to need to be extremely commercially aware, target-driven, creative, analytical and very much a people-person.

You will need to think as creatively as your marketing colleagues whilst also exhibiting the tenacity and persistence of the sales team. You are also going to need to have a head for figures and, at the same time, be a seasoned hand at developing relationships.
 
Any decent employee needs to have at least basic computer skills. Nevertheless, a Business Development Manager must have high competency working with Microsoft Office. Even CRM software is a must for this job as well.

There are numerous skills to get when developing a business. Marketing skills must be developed from time to time. This will help in increasing the sales of the business. Another skill is customer service skills. Review the way you attend to customers from time to time. You can prepare a questionnaire for your customers to this effect. Another skill to improve is your negotiating skill. This will help in purchasing raw materials for the business and also selling to customers.
 
i dont Think i would want to buy from that store again. how you treat your customers determines if they would return and also of they would recommend you to others. So if i get a bad treatment from you, i might decide to come back another time just in case the last time was a bad day but if am treated the same way then its safe to say you dont know how to Handle your customers. And I will never return to that place again
 
Some other skill that can push up a business are if the employer has a good coustomer aquisition model,becaues clients are what makes the business going.
And a good channel for feedback and a very robust coustomer service,because it is from this feed back that will motivate a creative and innovative thinking and strategy.
