What are key skills for business development?

There are a lot of keys to business development some of which are; enough capital, relationship, man power, expansion opportunity, understanding the market, ability to get the product to the customers in time and consistent in the products and services quality and quantity.
Just as the writer truly said, these outward skills are truly important as they can help drive sales but what would drive you as an individual to keep going which is why inner skills like critical thinking is useful.

You will need the requisite knowledge and know how to be able to run a business and turn it into a successful enterprise. You also need the skill of a goal setter to achieve this too
one of the key skills for business development is planning when you plan before starting any business you are able to structure the business well and manage risks.

I will only like to mention three important skills to business development and these are very vital that should not be joked with. The first one is the communication skill followed by the negotiation skill and the most important of the is customer relationship or human management skill.

For a selling type of business I think the communication skills is the most important. Selling is facing not only the customers but also the suppliers and other people related to the business. A good salesman who has the gift of gab and easily breeze through the transactions with not much hassle.

one of the key skills for business development is marketing and good communication if you have a good communication with your customer this will enable them to come and also refer others 2 your business.

Disciplinary skills to, although you might not find this skill in any eBook of making money or books that lead to success. if a business is not discipline, the business is good as crumbling
 
The major requirements for a business person is to have a strong marketing strategy and analytical analysis procedure. These two fundamental skills is very important because without those you can't make any money in your business to grow forward
I definitely agree with you that the marketing skill is a very important skill for any business manager as it will help in protecting the business product or services to the client or customers and making sure that they purchased this product and services.
 
Negotiation skill is one of the most perfect skill for any business, management skill is also very important ,with this skill a company will be able to succeed very well because they are the skill that governs a business

A skill that is very vital as well is the skill to manage your work force,the capacity to manage employees from different baground and be able to motivate them to be on the job and give in their best is a lot of work to acheive.

I will go for discipline because this will cover all other forms of discipline and it is one of the most effective way to handle our business, without proper discipline there is likely to be mismanagement of business money and other resources.
