Building a website and managing the website you built requires different kinds of skills. For example,

Website creation skills (knowledge of content management system)

Content development skills (writing articles)

SEO

Digital Marketing, etc.

I am "do it yourself" guy. When I launched my first website in 2015. I knew nothing about website creation.

I learned everything by myself. I learned from trial and error. What about you?

I am "do it yourself" guy. hen I launched my first website in 2015. I knew nothing about website creation. I had used wordpress in various writing sites and also free wordpress blog, however, I did not have experience with wordpress as a content management system. I had writing skills, digital marketing skills, and seo skills, however, I did not have much experience.

I learned everything by myself. I learned from trial and error. What about you?
You're really experienced I'm impressed, l learnt WordPress from trial and error, I'm also learning from YouTube about SEO. I'm hoping you can share your knowledge here too.

One thing I never tried and want to try very much is youtube. I have published a lot of video contents on various websites, I have also published a couple of videos on youtube, however, I never tried to work on my youtube channel and monetize youtube channel. When I created a channel, you only needed 10K views for monetization, but now the requirement is really tough

As opposed to hiring someone to work on your site every time you encounter problem, doing yourself is a cheaper option.

@Justinwhile it is cheaper sometimes trying to do everything yourself as a business is not the best as 1 aspect may suffer unless you're an expert.

Doing yourself may not be the finest work if you have just started, however, at least its your own work and you will continue to improve.

If you have budget, maybe hiring an expert might be a good option. However, if you want to become a webmaster yourself, why don't you start learning.

The requirements to monetize YouTube is high but for those who knows much about digital marketing and creating quality videos finds it okay. One need about 1k subscribers, 4k watching hours from viewers to monetize YouTube.

I did once try to work on youtube, back then all you needed was 10K views and that was not very difficult.

I have created a youtube channel and I am thinking to upload some videos? What kind of videos get better traction on youtube? How do you build subscribers.

I have been building free website for some time now and of course I need everything for myself. I'm also learning how to be one e-commerce website to a professional level. Website development is a very lucrative skill.

3 This person is a traffic expert. They purchase traffic and guide it to the websites of advertisers. CPA networks and affiliate programme members often view webmasters in this light.

I wouldn't advise anyone that sounds a website to do it by themselves unless if they do not have the financial means to do all the services that they require on that website. The thing is that the most effective method would be employing a professional to service and manage your website for you so that you won't be having any issues from it.

You will understand how hard it is to generate 4000 hours watch time only when you try it for yourself. You can get 1k subscribers but 4000 hours watch time is daunting task

4,000 hours tasks is daunting enough. Cos it will require one to do lots of promotions that will bring people at large to keep watching his or her video contents.

But do you know that you would have prevented many trials and errors if you had asked for professional help although it is good to do it yourself but sometimes guidance is important to save time and expenses.

When I built my first two websites, I hired assistants, however, for the third website I did all works including content writing and SEO. If you do not have high expectations, you can try doing everything by your own.

If you can do it yourself, then there is no problem with that, infact it has its advantages, you can get the work done exactly how you like it without any issue as they would be no clashing of different ideas and vision. Then again if you share the works for others, it would produce more result faster and gives you enough time to rest, and it would also bring fresh ideas to the table.

You really tried and deserved a very good thumb up for the job well-done. But do you know that you would have save yourself a lot by hiring an expert to do that work for you if you have the money. And you would have used that time of trial and errors and do something that can promote your site.

At times, we find ourselves tying out some things out and boom, it works. The first time I tried wordpress, I was playing with my fone. But the world has gone beyond wordpress. I need to learn other ways of creating websites.
