Before I created a wordpress website, I had used wordpress in various writing sites and also free wordpress blog, however, I did not have experience with wordpress as a content management system. You've gotten that experience about WordPress content management system. Which is where you hang on to create majority of your websites.

I paid Money to learn search engine optimization SEO. However, it was part of a course I paid for which was Digital media marketing and after that I learn Website development myself through trial and error and I used WordPress for the development

Building a website and managing the website you built requires different kinds of skills. For example,

Website creation skills (knowledge of content management system)

Content development skills (writing articles)

SEO

Digital Marketing, etc.

I am "do it yourself" guy. When I launched my first website in 2015. I knew nothing about website creation.

I learned everything by myself. I learned from trial and error. What about you?
Most online business are learnt on personal ways, not actually relying on other people experience although you might undergo some training at some point also..

I think this really depends on how tech savvy the person is. If the person is not familiar with anything internet learning, it will be very hard for the person to learn on his or her own

I think it's basically because you don't have enough funds to assign some task to freelancers. If you take on too much task in your business, it might wear you out.

I use to be like this, a "do it all" type of person. These days I have found that doing it all slows you down in the long run, so I prefer to outsource the work so that I can focus on more important tasks.

As opposed to hiring someone to work on your site every time you encounter problem, doing yourself is a cheaper option.
Exactly, and you tend to solve the problem quicker, not waiting for the tech guy, most of them seems to have this delaying character.

I have been building free website for some time now and of course I need everything for myself. I'm also learning how to be one e-commerce website to a professional level. Website development is a very lucrative skill.

It started as a hobby and now turned into a passion. Am good with programming and started my first blog website. It later transformed into a forum. Now happily managing active members and running a thriving fan base. Planning to recruit some new talents in the near future.

Learnign by yourself i think is the best way to go because then you are able to see the trial and error and in that way you will be able to learn more effectively. If someone teaches you you may overlook things.

It also depends on your level of skills, the funds you have, and the goal for your website. If you have a goal to grow big pretty soon, you need someone to help you., If you want to start slow and do not have money to spend, you can try doing yourself and you can lean by trial and error.
