Wearing shorts in the workplace?

In my business of poultry and fish farming, all of my workers are allowed to put on any kind of decent dress they want to because they don't have anything to represent with their wears. But whenever you want to go inside my farm to do something especially in my poultry, there is a boot that you're supposed to wear before going in and the boot doesn't go any other place apart from inside the farm.

As far as business of poultry and farming is concerned, you may actually be required to wear shorts. This is because under such kind of circumstances, you may require your body to stretch when you work under such kind of conditions.

I don't believe this at all because in this kind of situation, there are employees that are going to misuse the opportunity given to them to wear any kind of dress that they feel like wearing at work. They will not put on anything that will be decent and this kind of dress is something that is going to cause a very serious distraction for some other people that are working together there.

I can understand that. However,as far as I think, many workplaces may have different kinds of policies related to this. However, in many workplaces, you cannot wear shorts under any condition because the nature of the job will require you to never wear shorts. For example, you cannot wear shorts in case if you work as a chef. You have to wear chef uniform and you cannot wear shorts if you plan to work as a chef.

The most important thing is that whatever is being decided by a company to allow their workers to put on during their working hours is not going to be a kind of dress that is going to make it very difficult for another person to work with. Personally, I believe that any company that values it when their employees are being highly productive is always going to make sure that any condition that is going to impede their activity when they are working is always going to be dealt with swiftly. This is so that it is not going to have much impact on the business in a way that the business will start suffering for it.

Many companies have a particular dress code and they never compromise on that. So, wearing something alternative may also never be an option for them, let alone wearing shorts.

All companies wouldn't have the same specific policy for their worker's drees code. The differences in their businesses would make it impossible for all of them to have the same work dress code ethics. The nature of the work decides what the worker's are meant to wear.

Yes, however, some of the companies do have a specific policy and this is something that may annoy certain kinds of employees. Some kind of employees get used to it and when you work for a company that has a specific dress code, then you may have no other choice. This is why not all the companies may allow wearing shorts.

However, not all kinds of jobs would allow you to wear whatever you want. For example, many salesmen in our country wear pants and shirts while they are at the job, even if this involves working under hot conditions.

You're right, but am happy my working doesn't implement any dressing code. Sometime, short trouser and singlet is my easy wear. That's is why I said it's depend on the the type of work or profession. If you're working under AC I don't see any reason to wearing pants and shirts.
