Warning System

Well, how is your warning system? After how many warnings do members get banned? Under what circumstances would you immediately ban a user and not consider giving that said member a warning? For me, it's usually three live warnings that last six months, and then you're banned.

On my forum, it is very relaxed but it depends on what rules are broken. Some will have a warning system where you can break the rule 3 times before you are banned while others will be an outright ban.

I too follow three warnings a year, before banning. I review red-flagged posts regularly. If the post is hateful or vulgar, would ban the member immediately.

I think that having a three warning system is a very good idea because it shows that you are giving them the opportunity to try and correct the mistakes that they have made and personally I think that I stick to 3 as well because it is generally accepted in baseball. As they say three strikes and you're out

I can tolerate three mistakes, and the fourth mistake is always ban. I take spam very seriously. The definition of spam for me is sharing too many links, posting too many one liner posts that do not offer value, posting links to phishing sites, posting links online, etc. If the users create posts only with links., I ban him without sending any warnings.
