Warning System

Advertisement Placeholder
On my forum, it is very relaxed but it depends on what rules are broken. Some will have a warning system where you can break the rule 3 times before you are banned while others will be an outright ban.

I too follow three warnings a year, before banning. I review red-flagged posts regularly. If the post is hateful or vulgar, would ban the member immediately.

I think that having a three warning system is a very good idea because it shows that you are giving them the opportunity to try and correct the mistakes that they have made and personally I think that I stick to 3 as well because it is generally accepted in baseball. As they say three strikes and you're out

I think it is important that they should be warning systems in levels. For example if you are able to accumulate up to 4 warning then you are going to have a time out for 2 months

Well, how is your warning system? After how many warnings do members get banned? Under what circumstances would you immediately ban a user and not consider giving that said member a warning? For me, it's usually three live warnings that last six months, and then you're banned.

I would never ban the member instantly at all. I think that we all make mistakes and we all deserve a second or even a third chance. I would like to know what made the member do something wrong despite the fact that terms and conditions clearly prohibit the act.

I think three warnings in the last 6 months is a justifiable warning system. If I ever build a community, I will also use this warning system. I have heard that some owners ban user right away, which I think is unjustifiable.

Many members may not be aware of what they are doing. This might be due to lack of knowledge and I do not think that they deliberately spam or violate the rules all the time. However, having a warning system is crucial on any site or forum.

I believe that using a three warning system is a great idea because it demonstrates that you are giving them a chance to try and correct their errors. As for me, I believe that I will continue to use three warnings because it is customary in baseball.
Three strikes and you're out, as the saying goes.

I believe three warning system is ok before banning a member from one's forum. I won't ban a member immediately until such member have been warned three times

If the member violates the obvious rules, such as threatenin g other members, posting copied content, etc. I will ban him outright, however, for minor violations such as advertising through PM, I will send warnings
