2. Absence Of A Monetary Cushion.

On the off chance that you don't have any savings portfolio/account, it is one of the notice signs that you are maintaining an unrealistic lifestyle. I don't live beyond what I earn. If am to buy something i will have to check my pocket or wallet if am having more than the price tag to that particular goods. If I have more, I will surely buy and if I don't have more than I will check back later to buy it. With this I will have rest of mind that am not owing any body money. This is what I do, and it has been helping a lot.

I think it is important that we learn to live within our means , I find it funny when I relate with people and they are always trying to prove a point . Just calm down and live within your means you have nothing to prove to anybody. Bid your time and put in constant work to attain your preferred position. I like some of the points you mentioned also.

We should lean only to ourselves, relying always for people to help you seems disturbing. Because no one will accommodate such person everytime. I learn everyday to depend only on myself through the works of my hand.

The last point is really true. Most people tend to live their life like a copycat. They tend to imitate their successful friends. They’re driven by peer pressure. Oftentimes they think about what people will say about them, So they force it. They do everything possible to have the public’s favor while their world isn’t really as balanced as they portray themselves. Well there’s a solution to this, if you want to know whether you’re driven by peer pressure or not, you need privacy. Discover yourself. The moment you discover yourself you’ll find peace with yourselfand that’s the most important thing

I love cutting my coat according to my cloth, going beyond my means is something I cannot do.
Sometimes I go months without shopping for clothes not because I don't have the money but I have budgeted that money on something more life changing than clothings. Thanks for the great tips.

A lot of average income earners are still broke till date because they spend more than what they can afford. I member when I left high school and started working, I was earning around $60 monthly as pocket money. I would go to club every weekend with my rich friends and spend my pay recklessly just to feel among the rich.

Your words are very true. Every individual should have a planned budget, the moment you notice you are spending beyond that budget without notable reasons then you are living beyond your means, the moment you are not able to save from your monthly salary as you used to do, then one needs to check himself. I have made sure that the above factors do not get me. One needs to always plan ahead and cut your coats according to your cloth.

This thread is very interesting and true at the same time. Generally, I only carry what I have to spend, the more I carry the more expenses, and I limit myself by leaving the cards so as not to exceed myself. Previously, if I spent uncontrollably, I saved little, but the experience that we have lived in my country has taught me. We should not expect to experience a crisis to take into account advice and economic maturity.

I don't like it when people create an impression of being who they are not in reality. Such illusion just gets them into more trouble because there would be certain expectations that people will have of you because they think you are more than what you really are. I always wear who I am for the world to see to avoid any useless misconceptions.

In my experience the first tell-tale sign of living beyond my means is the tightening of the cash flow. I would be going to work with just enough money for my transportation. Oh my, I had to borrow from an office mate for my lunch that I had to pay it on payday. When that happens to you then you have to flex your financial aptitude to check on your finances. The cash flow is the most important in the daily living especially if you do not have a credit card. On the other hand a credit card may even contribute to the problem instead of solving it. I have 3 credit cards but I do not dare use it for excessive spending. At least I have self control now.

The last point is the most important for me, especially when you check the lives of most young people. They do not have self control and this makes it easy for them to always want to identify themselves with so called BIG BOYS in their circle. This makes them to involve in illegal means of making money because they want to impress their peers

I do not like to beg for money from whoever, I can do or spend beyond my Pocket. What worrying some people is that they want to use what they are not capable to afford they will now beg for money or check for help from other. Some people can also borrow money without use it for business, they just want to use it buy something which is bad habits.

All you have said are real signs that someone is living beyond their means. Allow me stretch on the third point about begging and borrowing. When people live above their standard or live to imitate someone else life style , that is way higher than them, they run into debt, because their personal monthly or daily earning cannot sustain them any longer. You notice they are the type who beg and lie to get assistance. I wonder what such persons gain from telling lies to be like someone else. There is more to life. And it is always wise to leave within our means. Those who beg around never get to safe anything for their future. They keep paying g one debt or the other.

This thread has really made think back a bit and I think the major cause of this is peer pressure.one of the biggest challenges In life is "peer pressure" and living upto your friends expectations which is pretty much the most minute thing we shouldn't be concerning ourselves with.

I can't possibly live above my means. All money spent most times, are budgeted base on my earnings. This method eradicate miscellaneous spendings and save me some unnecessary headache of overdraft and sourcing payday loans to balance up.

This is a good tips for you for those who wants to know how to manage their lifestyle without having to live above their means or income. One of the factor that makes individual live beyond his or her means is peer pressure which you have listed in your point. As a person, if you think you can't handle your friends show off, just quit the friendship for your sanity.

You're right, this is an important tips for us, all human that wants to succeed should cultivate the habit of self control and self discipline. It is important you deny yourself of some things you can actually survive without

Living beyond a persons means make someone be in debt no matter how much you earn.
This only happens when we use our income without a definite plan for how we will spend it.
We should stop trying to live like other people too.

Living beyond your means mean spending more than you make. We have 4 different financial situations.1 Emergency situation: Expenses is more than income. 2 Bad situation: Expenses equals income. 3 Good situation: Expenses is lesser than income. 4 Financial independence: The wealthy class
