Video blogging

A video blog (or video log), sometimes shortened to vlog, is a form of blog for which the medium is video, and is a form of web television. The most popular platform for video blogging is YouTube, with Vimeo and Dailymotion coming in second place.

I have tried video blogging, I have been a YouTuber for a couple of years, and the result has not been satisfying. Being a video blogger is more difficult, more time consuming and in some cases harder to gather an audience than being a regular blogger.

What is your opinion about video blogging?

I love vlogs but it's not something I've attempted myself. I think a lot of people prefer to read blogs than watch vlogs because watching videos requires you to physically watch AND listen. I think a lot of people typically has an attention span of 2-3 minutes for a video, anything longer than that if they are not already interested in the topic they tend to just give up on watching. As opposed to just reading and being able to read at your own pace.
