Threads Surges to 275M Users

Threads was launched by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg as a direct compromise for Elon Musk's Twitter/X. Initially, it would have seem that a lot of people jumped on Threads but left almost immediately but they seem to be coming back now.

Mark Zuckerberg recently announced the growth of the users on Threads with his post on the app



What could have changed to see millions of users going back to Threads and leaving Twitter/X?

I have an account on Threads but I am not using it yet. You can benefit from social media only when you have a lot of followers, and building followers is very difficult. I have worked hard to build audience on Twitter, if I want to build followers on Threads,I will have to start with Zero, and with the same effort my followers on X will grow even bigger.
