The hand drum is any drum that is played with the hand, particularly by hitting it with the palm. This reminds us of our friend who was a bongo drummer in a jazz band. Another hand drum is the conga which is mainly used by latin bands for their native music. In the olden days when Tarzan was shown on tv, there were scenes that has the sound of drums for the background. It was an indication that the natives are coming.
