Setting Up a Classifieds Section

Advertisement Placeholder
I have never build a classified ad website but ever since I knew about craiglist, I always had this dream of building a similar site but I never got started. If I was to start a classified site, I would be using wordpress with some classified ads plugins. I am more comfortable using wordpress than any other content management systems.

It depends on what you are wanting.
Do you want a cut of the proceeds of the sale?
Do you simply want to offer a centralized area for users to post items for sale and the transaction happen between them directly without the hassle of handling the money (and the responsibility that can go with that)?

I personally chose the latter process and use XenAddons Classified Ads System (CAS) on my site.

I don't want a proceed of sales. It's just a place to buy a spot to sell stuff.

Then you might want to look at XenAddons Classifieds Ads System if you are running XenForo. It allows for buying, selling and more.

It allows numerous ad types in a category (set in the ACP).

I just noticed I need to go in and edit my Service phrase now that you can directly do those via CSS.
