The father of Anakin Skywalker?

I haven't been following Star Wars very well but I know the great characters in the franchise. Powerful guys like Luke Skywalker, Anakin Skywalker (Later Darth Vader), Darth Maul, Obi-Wan, etc. I've been trying to link who was the father of Anakin Skywalker because I'm only familiar with his mother Shmi Skywalker.
