The battle of drums

There was once a festival here, I think it is a competition, called Battle of the Drums. I was not able to watch it because it was not shown on tv. But based on friends who attended the event, it was one great show because all the drummers who went on the stage were all spectacular with their talents. However, it seemed that no one understood the scoring system because all they heard were the drums. But in fairness to that event, it gave focus on the drummer who is always in the background when it comes to performing.

That sounds very interesting! A battle of drums. Now that would be epic for sure. I would love to see a prolonged match between the greats, in terms of style, composition and length of session.

Between, why are there not more female drummers?
