Lately I've felt that my technique when playing the bass drum isn't great. I recently bought a double bass pedal and am wanting to take some time to train both feet. I have mainly been a heel down drummer but feel that when songs get faster it sounds a bit sloppy and have since been playing heel up which I find good for power and can play a bit faster but am naturally still just getting used to it. I've come across different techniques to play bass drum such as heel toe and slide,
I am wondering what one people prefer to play and what other techniques are out there? The past week I have been teaching myself the slide technique and am a little unsure how one would do this with a double pedal, is do you play RRLL or RLRL? Is one way better than the other? For most of the videos online I have seen people are mainly doing RRL with the slide but it is in triplets so am unsure if it is different. I realize some of these questions may be stupid but I've always played heel down so this is a bit new to me
