Starting a small business in Nigeria can be very challenging. If you don't have a capital getting loan to fund the business is a problem and ebn you eventually get capital to setup the business the government will come with obnoxious policy that can run down the business. It's really disheartening

Startimg a small business will be easy for a person who has saving and doesn't need to go to the bank or money lenders to look for money
But if you're the type who doesn't save I believe starting a small business will be very hard for you because nobody will be willing to grant you a loan

Although, it is difficult to start a small business, but persistence is the key. Just do your research and plan well. Then make sure you select a right location to attract right customers.

Before budding entrepreneurs can start a new business, they usually need to secure the right amount of capital which covers everything from equipment financing to emergency funds. Most people think that a business can’t start without capital, but there are actually various ways for individuals to start a business with zero capital.

Starting a small business in Nigeria has never been easy considering what you’d have to go through to raise business capital towards setting up and running a profitable business. Basically, it’s all about money money money! No Bank in Nigeria is willing to help small scale businesses, and Government seems to have no plan whatsoever for the citizens who needs business start up capital.

If you are contemplating any business, you are on your own if you don’t have enough money to finance it. The worst part of it all is that most potential profitable small businesses in Nigeria needs much amount of money to get it started — most times, far much beyond what average Nigerian small business aspirants can afford.
Well articulated post. Starting a business is not easy especially in country where alone will have to make things work because there is favourable condition to start you just have to create it yourself and you will still be expected to to tax.

Knowledge outweighs capital most times but we all know there is no business without capital which is a major factor of production. But the skills matters most. Because without the required skills or knowledge capital will certainly be wasted. And at the end the business will collapse completing. So that is the key concept knowledge is light and power.

Starting a business either big or small is not a small thing in this country. You will need to make a lot of sacrifice to make the business a successful one. You will need to be consistent and never give up.

Starting a small business is not as stressful as starting a big business it is less stressful. You require little capital to operate it. And little skill aswel.

Starting a small business can be summer tricky if you don't know what you are doing especially in Nigeria. If it happens that you are trying to exploit new idea, you have to prepare yourself for future competitor. The reason is that it is when you started your business idea that other people will see opportunity in it and start. That's the problem with most people in Nigeria didn't think for themselves when it comes to business.

Starting a small business requires little capital but you should be able to consider location of the small business if you know the business is not going to bring him much for you after setting it up don't bother starting it and if you know the business is not something that can withstand stand all seasons don't go into it

Conduct market research. Market research will tell you if there's an opportunity to turn your idea into a successful business. ...
Write your business plan. ...
Fund your business. ...
Pick your business location. ...
Choose a business structure. ...
Choose your business name. ...
Register your business. ...
Get federal and state tax IDs.

A small scale business requires little capital at least that's what everyone says but you have to make sure that capital is enough for you to start the business and to continue the business later you still need a capital more than the required capital to start of the business for you to be able to enjoy it and if you know your location is not right you don't set it up there

I know that everyone wish to have his/her own business to be control, and there is no that don't have a business idea but how to start it's the main problem for most people when there is no capital and no body realdy to give anyone a money to start Business. To gather a little capital to start a small business in Nigeria is not easy.

Starting a small is not really encouraging in Nigeria as a country. But one has to start from somewhere and build up to something. The Elon musk, Donald Trump, Jeff bezos, Aliko Dangote er see today aren't the same 1 years ago. They all started from somewhere and now today they are ruling the world.

Never really been easy at all considering the fact that our leaders doesn't want anything good for us. They tend to regulate every single thing that favours the masses not minding how the effect would be on our business

It's not bad to start small at all, in life, the most successful people started from somewhere, just know your goals and what you plan to achieve, remain consistent and dedicated and before you know it your small business will grow and yield a lot of profit.

Compose your strategy
Your strategy is the establishment of your business. It's a guide for how to construction, run, and develop your new business. You'll utilize it to persuade individuals that working with you or putting resources into your organization is a shrewd decision.

There is nothing wrong in starting small. Every business that has grow so big started small. It is very important to take a step whenever we want to start anything. We do not wait until we have enough before we can start.

I believe starting a small business is a very good idea because it is actually better to be into a small business rather than being idle
But the major problem to starting a small business is that once some set of people see that you are making it in the business they also engage in the same business trying to cut down your sales

Starting a small business in Nigeria is not the problem but the wicked government of Nigeria that wouldn't allow the small business to thrive and survive. They will carry all the levy and fines in the country and heap on the head of the small business. If you are not strong and determined, they will shutdown your business.
