Starting a paid advertising subforum

Rather than cluttering up an entire forum with ads, what about the idea of having a paid advertising subforum. Some forums offer this section for free, but it could be by subscription (such as for anyone donating to the site) or maybe even per sticky post. Would you use this type of idea to monetize your forum, rather than giving away ad space to members?
