Staff disputes?

Advertisement Placeholder
My website is a one-man show. Haven't recruited anyone till now. Mostly would do in the future. But it would be challenging to hire the right people, who share the same vision and dedication as yourself.

Here are some useful ways to manage staff disputes:
  • Determine the seriousness of the matter.
  • Ask your staff members to work out issues on their own.
  • Take action when necessary.
  • Listen to the staff involved in the argument.
  • Record/write down the whole incident.
  • As a leader, create a comprehensive solution.
  • Create a policy to avoid such incidents in the future.

I think that intervening when there is a dispute between two of the staff members on the forum can be a very good and important thing because it may affect the forum and how it is being operated as well, however at the same time it needs to be handled with care. The reason that I am saying this is because if you are trying to resolve the conflict it must come across as if you are trying to help them both and not that you are taking sides in the argument which could cause further problems.

There was a time in which I received a report that a staff was not handling and employee very well during an ongoing series. I just had to speak to them differently so that they are going to see things from the company perspectives.

I neither have a forum nor working as a staff for any forum so I don't have many things to say regard the question. But I think in a forum, there must be rules and regulations guiding the conduct of staffs. Any staff that breach any of the rules should be sanctioned.

Actually staff dispute is an inevitable case in all business organisation either private or public organisation. As a manager, try to hear from both parties before taking any further actions.

Are you going to call us to enquire what exactly happened and then try to create rules to ensure that things like this does not happen because that is a big embarrassment.

Just have to let them work things out. Assuming they are adults, they should be able to do that. One of the forums I helped a buddy of mine run years ago had a mod in place when I stepped in who quite honestly did not like me. Did not realize me and my friend were close either and when he found out, he thought he was going to get banned over it. It was all over a misunderstanding but we worked things out.

it is inevitable that issues would arise among staffs that works with you, so you need to put proper mechanism for resolution of conflict so it does not affect the productivity of your organization

I Think that in case the staff gets in a dispute it would be quite hard to handle things. It is much better to investigate things and then settle the manner in a fair manner.

Thank God My website is a one-man show. Haven't recruited anyone till now. Mostly would do in the future. But it would be challenging to hire the right people, who share the same vision and dedication as yourself.

I treat my staff as a family so there are no fights between them I always tell them we are Family there is no need for us to fight

I think it's a very good and important thing to intervene in a dispute between two forum workers as it can affect the forum and its operation, but at the same time it should be handled with caution. The reason I say this is that you are trying to resolve a conflict

How do you handle a staff member that is in arguments with another employee of a forum or website? Are there any formal protocols in place? Do you have hidden sub-forums with guidance and checklists for administrative members? Let us know the last time you had to deal with such situations.
I believe that getting involved in a disagreement among two forum employees when it arises could be an extremely positive and crucial move because it may have an impact on the forum and the way it is run as well, but it also must be undertaken carefully.

I will first of all I want to take some time off in order to establish the fact and then understand what led to it in the first place. I am doing going to look for how to make them look at the situation from each other's point of view.

One person is running my website.
I have not yet hired anyone.
Most likely will in the future.
But finding the proper employees with the same devotion and vision as you would be difficult.

I don't own a forum but if i were to be faced with staff disputes on my forum, i would first of all discover the origin of the dispute, then i would have a heart to heart conversation with the staffs involved so the dispute can be settled.

I believe every forum, business or company, has rules and regulations guiding the behaviour of it workers. such rules will determine how staffs will and can be discipline of there mischief behaviour.

If all the people follow rules and regulations in the right manner, then I think that many issues could be resolved. In fact, issues and disputes would not even exist in the first place.
