Now a days with more and more instant messengers being created for groups do you use these for staff communication? Would you be willing to share your phone number if you lived in the same country with your fellow staff members? Ever thought of adding eachother and having an instant messenger group through Facebook?

Thinking as we are all mostly on our phones, or at least by our phones, I know having access to staff may be important on the phone. Personally my Discord doesn't always push through to my phone which is frustrating.

The golden age of Skype was when staff communication was at its easiest, lol. Now I’d probably just use an iMessage chat if everyone was in the US. If everyone wasn’t in the US, I’d probably use like Discord or whatever everyone wanted to use.

I currently don't have any staff members, but if I did, I'd just use Discord considering it will notify me when someone DM's me, and besides text messaging, Discord is about the only other messenger I use. I don't think it would be necessary to give out phone numbers when push notifications exist on many messaging services.

My staff and I still use Skype for all of our communications, but always make sure to copy/paste the communications into our staff forum in case any of the staff wasn’t on during the discussion.
I like that you kind of keep a "log" of interactions done over Skype so all can still be included in particular conversations! That's smart!

That's a brilliant idea, thanks for sharing that!

I remember when I ran Chat Addicts, I had the ability to call the other admin if there were any issues and he too could also call me if it was needed. I guess if I knew the people I was working with as staff, I would be confident to let them have my number to either call or text but for the most part, I do prefer online means if possible.
