I was wondering if which is more important nowadays because as what I have seen most people is rocking their world on loud music especially rocks even if they don't understand the content or meaning of a certain song or rock music. I don't know if they just wan't to become a part of it or they just go with the flow. Sometimes it happens mostly in celebration or parties, but after you ask some of them what is that rock song all about they will just answer you they don't know, were just having fun. Sometimes it is irritating for me, because I don't like pretentious people.

Thanks guys!

This is also common to people who like Pop songs. They like the song even though the song's message doesn't mean much or are just full of bad words, sex, or drugs. I only like to listen to songs that have good messages.

If I listen to music without lyrics, then, it should touch my heart. So, the music should be calm, soothing and enthusiastic. Otherwise, if the song has lyrics, then, it should be meaningful enough for me to have some senses while listening to it. Listening to something that doesn't make sense to me would be wastage of my time and ability too.

That's why, I listen to some music that is so soothing that it would calm my mind and put me to sleep. Also, for lyrics, I listen to deeply meaningful songs and take them as a message from God.

Song has a lot of meaning for any individual it depends on your mood while listening musics. We feel in love if we hear a love song music and restore our memories of past.

For me music has wonderful meaning because if you listen to a music there is something that touch your feelings or heart.

A song with a deep meaning is amazing at times, for reflexion or if you're sad, maybe even to help you through a mood or bring back memories. But if you're just chilling in your room, a nice beats is always nice, I could be just walking around campus in the morning and jamming to Sia without some deeper meaning. So, it's kind of mixed for me.

Exactly. A lot of music listeners nowadays don't even care about the lyrics as long as their favorite singer (or should I say Music Video Actor because their voices don't pass my taste) are the singer/s of that song. I actually feel bad for real singers who work hard in composing such good lyrics for their music, but then they always end up being underrated because the listeners of this generation are not real music enthusiasts and are just bandwagon fans that only listen to musicians because of the popularity and the reputation of those musicians.

Well maybe a lot of people now a days often listen first to the melody, beats or harmony of the song before understanding it's meaning. Songs is conversation between the singer and the listener. It's not only the melody that emphasize but also the message that the singer wants to relay to the listener. Yes, it's true that some listeners streams the song because it is their favorite singer or artist. But, for me as listener too, I listen to the song and at the same time understanding it. You can fully appreciate a song if you know what it's message. Also,

I think that both complete one on each other, both the sound and meaning makes a great song, sometimes it becomes a hit. Of course, there is music without words and meaning but very expressive that touch the heart becoming unforgettable.

I believe that ,in music, the tune is superior to the meaning/lyrics of the song; although there is such a thing as music in things written or poetry in some music heard, strictly music, the tune is primordial. Beethoven's 7th symphony, by all means, can stand for eternity without any lyrics. But the music itself has its own meaning.

Always u should know the meaning of the song, because with meaning we can live the song.
