What's your fav. Soap?

I know people don't admitting to liking Coronation St, or Home and Away- but most people like one of them!

I like Home and Away :)

It's a genre of Tv programs. It's basically an ongoing tv series on a dramatized version of life centred around one area, or town... So Coronation St is about the residents of Coronation St. in "Weatherfield". Home and Away is based on main characters who live in Summer Bay (an Australian beach town). Some soaps have been around for more than 50 years. Sometimes you'll find one or two characters have been there since the first episode...

Some of the biggest ones are:

Coronation Street:
No. of episodes : 7834
9 December 1960 – present
William Roache has played Ken Barlow since the first episode.

Emmerdale:
No. of episodes: 6207
16 October 1972 –Present
Richard Thorp has played Alan Turner since the first episode.

Neighbours:
No. of episodes: 6380
18 March 1985 – present

Home and Away:
No. of episodes 5495 (actually there have been 5500 this evening)
17 January 1988 – present
Ray Meagher has been Alf Stewart since the start- although he now takes lengthy brakes from the show.
Cornelia Frances has portrayed Morag Bellingham since 1988 but also takes regular breaks.

Soaps can be quite funny, especially when the plot is melodramatic :)

I actually like Young and The Restless, haha, quite interesting. Someone died recently and all major characters have evidence at the scene

I watch Eastenders on and off but I haven't really been interested in it lately, I'm interested in TV Sitcoms more than anything but if I was to choose my favourite soap then I would go for Eastenders. :)

My favourite soap is GZSZ, because the stories and charcters are interesting and all endings are very dramatic.
