Should You use Smart Assistant For Your Website?

A smart assistant is a kind of software that helps your customers interact with your clients. This helps you deal with many problems and this could also help your customers as well. These assiatnt can help your customer deal with general queries. So, should you use them? They are becoming quite common.

I have used chatbots on some of my websites but I am not a fan of these soc called smart assistants. IN order to benefit from these tools, you first need to write a lot of knowledgebase articles so that your smart assistant can point your customers toward these articles. It is easier to sol problem instances compared to writing multiple instructions.
 
A smart assistant is all about using bots and artificial intelligence to support your business in order to make it be actively operational 24/7 whenever a business customers comes on your website. Those bots will automatically send a message or wait for them to send one and they will reply with predetermined responses already provided for.
 
Websites where I witness smart virtual assistant used are websites which sell one product or services to those who are visiting the website. I don't use it see it used frequently on regular forums for discussions. There's no goal for using them on general discussion forums.

Smart assistants may help lower down the burden of your customer care representatives in case if you are running a business website where clients interact with the customer care representatives all the time. However, smart assistants cannot deal with technical problems your customers might be facing.

The only good which smart assistant can do for your website is to engage your customers visiting the website before your online customer service representative steps in. A smart assistant bot cannot make a sale and close it. Their design haven't reach to that level.

Funny enough, there are still going to be some questions that you can't be able to cover with all the knowledgebased articles you have written for the smart assistant to use when interacting with your customers. This makes the whole process somehow futile.
