Should education sites be dark or light as their main color?

I think that it all depends on the person as well because different people will learn differently in each environment and therefore i think that this choice should be left to the user.

Actually I dont think there is any specific colour that is fit for education. I believe all colours can fit. thkugh sometimes it depends on our desires for colour and how it will inspire us.

If we are talking about website on programming it have to be dark I think. It is a trend to use dark color schemes in IDEs. Personally I use light colors. Looks more like a book.

The following website is dark: https://johnxdrums.com/ It seems legit and attractive. However, some say education sites should always be light. Why is that the case?
There are pros and cons to both dark and light-colored education websites. On one hand, dark websites can be easier on the eyes, as they don't have that nasty glare that comes with lighter colored websites. However, lighter-colored websites tend to have more of a lively feel to them, which can keep users engaged for longer periods of time.

Ultimately, it depends on what you're looking for in an educational website. If you want something that's easy on the eyes and won't cause headaches after long periods of use, then go for a dark website. If you're looking for something that's more engaging and lively, then light might be the way to go.

They should never be dark due to the fact that students might have a much harder time reading the content. I have been to such sites and I stop visiting them after my awful experience.

If your website is a website where people read content, I think the website needs to be in light mode as light mode makes reading easier. If you are using dark mode in your website where the visitors have to read content, it will give a bad experience.

I guess that certain kinds of advertisement may not get displayed properly when you use the light mode and maybe it could have a negative effect on the revenue your site generate?

Education sites can take any colour as far as learning is concerned for me, I believe it will not affect learning, because colours can make it attractive for users to read and learn.

Choose a light or dark background for your website according to your target audience.

Light backgrounds will be more appropriate for the elderly and visually impaired audience. Dark backgrounds may be more attractive for a younger audience or a target group that particularly appreciates the professionalism and elegance of the websites they browse.

Personally I think education has no any specific colour of identification but it can be of any colour. though it depends on how individuals prefer it to be, but all are the same.

if you are building a website, you should allow people make their choice of theme they want either light or dark as we all have various preferences and some time it might be due to health challenges.

If you are developing a website, you must enable the customers to choose whether they would like a lighter or darker design, considering that we all have different preferences, which may be due to medical issues.

Actually I've been seeing a lot of dark things online and I'm amazed. Why should an educational website be in dark mode? We are talking about a website where people at gaining knowledge

They should never be dark since kids can find it much more difficult to understand the content.
I have visited such sites, and as a result of my terrible experience, I no longer go there.

It depends on who will be using it. Most sites I would recommend having a dark theme, as it's a lot easier on the eyes for everyone. But it's solely up to the site owner. I think if it's for education and is a kids site, it can have a mix of dark and light themes. As long as the light theme isn't overbearing on the users.

But, sometimes it's probably best to have a dark theme, in this case people with eye disabilities, and people who have sensitivity to light. You can always add colorful things onto a dark theme. I mean, if it's for kids.

I'll better have light themed sites except I'm creating one for nerds or geeks. If it's something for the general public, I'll have to create something that's generally accepted. This should be the standard

Well the honest truth is that it all depends on the person as well because different people will learn differently in each environment and therefore i think that this choice should be left to the user.

I believe it is not compulsory for education sites to be light in colour. It can also be dark in color, but i think a lot of people prefer light color themes.

An education site means site has content that needs to be read and understood. When the users are required to read content, having a dark background will be a problem. A light background is better.
