So this news is already semi-old, but I thought I'd share it anyway since it's pretty big news in the finance/cryptocurrency field:
SBF (Sam Bankman-Fried), the previous owner of FTX who was jailed earlier this year in the US for 25 years for his involvement in mass fraud against members of the cryptocurrency website, is attempting to appeal his conviction/sentence and there is an outstanding decision being awaited as to whether or not he'll be granted permission for a full appeal and then potentially a retrial.
What are others thoughts on this? Do you think SBF got a fair trial the first time around? If not, do you think there was enough of an injustice to warrant a second trial in this case?
Does SBF’s Appeal Stand a Chance of Succeeding?
Lawyers contacted by CoinDesk are skeptical the FTX’s founder will get another trial.
