Revamp

How often do you revamp your forum? Some people liken it to Spring Cleaning while others put it on maintenance mode & redo the entire forum. What does it entail for when you do it? Do you get rid of old posts? Perhaps members who haven’t posted at all or in awhile?

It's not too often that I tend to revamp my forum and I will only do it if I have an idea of what I want to do and things I wish to change. Things such as doing a whole revamp of the forums and the theme as well would be where I would close the forum and work on revamping but this is done very rarely.

I don't really revamp my forum too often. I may add a new theme here and there, but I don't like to move too many subforums.

On Christianity Haven, we talked about getting a new theme, but honestly, our members are there to talk about theology and have fellowship. They like how the forum looks, don't want contests, don't want fancy stuff, and so we don't see the need to make any changes as long as they keep coming back daily.

I haven't revamped my forum really ever since it was initially opened nearly 5 years ago. I've had various changes and new features along the way, but nothing that necessarily equates to a revamp, like a complete skin change, new layout, new staff members, etc. all at one time.

I'm constantly 'tweaking', but I haven't really done a full on revamp as yet..

I usually post a notice if I need to do a number of updates, informing visitors that the forums may go offline temporarily for short spells of time at the weekend.

At the moment I'm up-to-date with our add-ons, themes, and the forum software itself!
