You are quite correct sales is different from marketing,any thing in business,any category of business or any department of business needs to organize seminar to improve productivity both from indoors and out doors

I wish many things could be changed when it comes to working in a company or organization because most companies or organizations would employ you for one particular position but their expectations are for you to do more than that for them.
 
Obviously, sales is diffrence from marketing in all ramifications. The sales you get for a product isn't the same as the marketing for the same product . Sales conference truly could cause a spike in the sales of a product. Organising sales conference is a marketing strategy.

I belive that sales conferences can only boost sales if you invite customers and general public. You can do that by organizing a public event by the company. many companies do that and they have boosted their sales a lot.

The person is just there to receive customers and make sales every day.

The sales person or representative ought to be exposed to trainings and conferences from time to time if a business is to succeed in making sales.
