Profile Pic on Right Side?

I use phpBB and it is on the right side. Other popular software has it on the left. Anyway, it doesn't mean much, though, cause around 90 percent of users are on mobile I think.

phpBB is the only major forum software I can think of that has it on the right. I've always thought this was a questionable move.

Then you've got MyBB which has the profile information on the top of each post. I prefer to have this information on the left side, and you can install plugins on phpBB to change this.

I’m so used to it being on the left side, but I’m also okay with it being on top of posts as well. Logically either way makes sense to me! I can’t wrap my brain about it being on the right side - I guess it could bring more focus to the posts themselves though.

I thought MyBB had it on the left as well but could put it at the top of the post optionally? Fairly sure that's what it does on mobile.

I've also seen it done (esp on roleplay) to alternate where it's left one post, right the next, like a conversation style.

Only if I'm on staff do I really bother to look at peoples' profiles. So I guess it doesn't bother me

MyBB lets you customize it to have it top or left, same with XenForo. I always find it awkward to see it anywhere else than the left. In article forums like here it shows it at the bottom, which is okay.

I like it on the right because it gives it a unique look only phpBB seems to have.
