Christmas is one of the most awaited festivals of the year that is celebrated all around the world. It brings so much joy and happiness with itself. Billions of people celebrate it by decorating Christmas trees, exchanging gifts, attending church services, participating in festive meals with friends and family, etc. This time of the year is all about celebrating goodwill. ☃️

So, how are you planning to celebrate Christmas this year?🎅

I'm trying to avoid it. I can't be doing with the mass commercialisation of everything and it just makes everyone crazy.

I did at least sort the one good thing about Christmas, the tasty food.

We always have a family tradition for our immediate family where we wrap all the presents underneath the tree, and in the past several years my father has made up a game to play to determine who gets to open their gift next. We usually have Christmas dinner and exchange some gifts at my grandmother's house on my mother's side, but this year we're having Christmas with the rest of the family at our house considering my father is going to have a knee replacement soon and we won't be able to get around as well. I know our female dog will be a precious angel, but I'm not so sure about the male dog because he can be aggressive around strangers, he'll probably be muzzled and locked up in someone's room. We sometimes have Christmas at my grandmother's house on my father's side too, but not every year.

Nothing to the spectacle as it's on a Monday but end up going for a meal, three-meal dins out at the pub that I have never been to and no idea if the food is going to be any good by any means, it's just somewhere to go more then anything and via 2 pm we are back home again.

Since it's going to be Monday I end up going back home and doing MSFS2020 with a LONG flight and streaming it :)

Normal day to be honest,

My plans for Christmas are to spend time with family.
Going to have Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve and watch a movie, open gifts on the day with family and spend time with family on Boxing Day.

So I have a really terrible time with this time of year. It used to be my favorite time, when I was a kid. Obviously, the whole joy and magical feeling, the warmth and family... Something life changing happened in my teens that changed it forever and it's never been the same. Though I've struggled to find some kind of joy during these holidays, something always seems to happen to make it worse. I'm not even talking stress or the holiday rush but losing family, losing pets. It's just a tough time of year for me.

This year, I'm struggling again. Felt it coming on about a week or two ago, this heavy, shrouded feeling. Depression. Tried to outrun it, tried to fight it, but it's still there.

I wasn't planning to buy anybody any gifts, or go anywhere. However, my mom really wants me to visit and since she lives with my brother's family, I had to find something for the kids. And then after the kids, I thought of my siblings, then my mom, my husband... So now everybody's getting gifts.

The plan is just to spend the day with family, a couple days before the actual day. Nothing big. Just giving the gifts, having food, hanging out. At least I'll be with family this year!

I'm the same, I'm 30 years old and for the last 15 years it's only been the three of us in the household to share and the worst part about it is that I have not had a Christmas tree in 20 years, never had any Christmas decorations up. 7

Our family is weird lot and never speak and talk or hear from each other

I have the Christmas lights up on the house, the tree up. Now to unpack the house to get it holiday ready.

I work until December 22nd, then I'll be off for 2 weeks! On Christmas day I think we are going to my husband's families house. I'm hosting a Christmas party here on December 29th, which seems so late, but excited it gives me some time to clean and perfect the house. I'm hoping to also host a house warming party during this season.

I'm unsure what my grandma wants to do for Christmas but I'm excited to spend some time with everyone regardless. Christmas time is one of my favorite seasons!

My family and I are getting together today(this evening) for the first Christmas party. Christmas Eve and day we will be meeting at my daughters' apartment for the exchanging gifts and hanging out. I have no idea if we are going to my sister-in-law's. That could be worked into the schedule too. LOL She normally does my daughter's birthday celebration.

I have to go back to work the day after Christmas any ways so I wouldn't want to do much. xD
Why didn't you take the week off, buddy?

Sounds awesome. Really curious to know how the game works. 😄

Hope you have a good time this year and next year blesses you with nothing but joyful moments to cherish forever. 😊

Awesome! It always feels great to meet up with family, come together and celebrate such precious times of the year. I'm looking forward to seeing some pictures from the party and other celebrations you do. 😁
