People who open and close forums

I've been down that road a few times myself due to personal problems and whatnot.
I admit the same here. I felt anything I've tried to do just hasn't worked well and so I feel like it's best I never try to do any projects. My Discord server has been around for years and originally did wanna build a community out of it. Sadly it never took off, and I changed it to a friends only and friends of friends only server.

I have seen a couple of people who frequently create forums and close forums. However, this does not bother me. If creating and shutting down forums serve their purpose, who are we to criticize them.

There is this guy who every 2 or 3 months will start up a new forum. Within a week or two he shuts it down, why bother? I have been a member of 2 forums that were great but one got shut down by the platform provider, and another shut down in order to join up with another larger one which I refused to join.

There's this one person who I banned from my forum twice, second being a permanent ban, created a lot of forums the first day and shuts them down the next. Once the forum gets shut down by the twice banned person, she didn't give a real reason why or nothing. Glad I didn't join any of the defunct forums she opened and closed, because these forums don't have any real details or merit.

I have seen many different people who have opened forums and closed them again within such a short space of time and then re-opened a new forum not too long after.

I understand that life can get hectic and that you don't always have time for a forum you may have opened and that is understandable. I tend to avoid those who are notorious for opening and closing forums just because they can.
