Do you personally pay for writers on your blog? If not tell us why, but if you do what is your experience with it and how well has it helped you and what is the usual pay?

I personally have not yet, but I plan to for one of my upcoming websites that use Wordpress and it is a blog. I personally think it can be highly beneficial if you can't personally always keep up with things or always post all the time. As for price it depends on the individual every person as their own price tag when it comes to being a writer. ;)

I think the problem with paying for writers is that you can become dependent on them, and in a way, your website becomes their website. I'd rather have a website that has some of my own content.

I have to agree with Christopher, once you pay someone to write articles you should be writing, your site becomes their site and you now share views instead of owning them. Maybe once here and there hiring someone to create new content is nice, but not as a continuous thing.

Not only that but you become dependent on them and it's hard to train people to write well or adjust to someone's style.
