Ignorance
Welcome to our planet Earth, once rich with animals of all kind,
Yet today nothing more but a shadow because of human mind.
We call ourselves creatures of pure love and incredible sense,
Yet how many animals have died from our hand behind fence?
We praise our technology achievements, our knowledge of all kind,
Yet learning more and more only made our hearts cold and blind.
Only few could truly feel and see with hearts what injustice is done,
Only few will mourn over extinct species killed by humans ignorant gun.
Yes, I do understand. It is not the gun that kills but the will of the men,
And many, many more of them will die while I am holding this pen.
That’s who we are, ignorant, greedy, selfish and self proclaimed gods,
And that’s the reason why future seems dark for us, against our odds.
How many more species must be extinct until we feel sorry for our sins?
How much will pass until we see it was not fun to kill animals for their skins?
Maybe that time will never come and we will die as greedy rulers with no love,
Maybe we are the one that are falling into the endless abyss from our own shove.
